I just got an e-mail from Ian Anderson's Caves Branch stating that they will be closed all of September. We want to stay on the mainland and go cave tubing/rapelling/hiking, etc. after our stint on AC in the beginning of September. Know of any place we can do this that's not closed???? I'm very sad Cave's Branch is closed. We wanted to do the honeymoon thing in the Black Hole. Bummer...

I'm not touching that with a ten-foot pole. [Linked Image] -- that last sentence, I mean...

Hope you can find someplace else to do your "honeymoon thing!" ROFL!

Kathy

PS: Seriously... maybe Jaguar's Paw is open?

I hear ya KC on that!

Check out Jaguars Paw. Shame that Ian Anderson's is closed in Sept. But if it's just the tubing, Jag Paw is great. Therepelling, well... can't help you there. we are headed to Caves Branch in Nov to do the repelling.

September and very early October are the peak rainy season. You will probably find that water levels are too high for cave tubing at that time and I assume that is one of the reasons they are closed.

The average humidity and temperatures are also at peak during this time of the year. It's a good time to give the staff a breather and do any pressing maintenance, etc.
