Only a few weeks away, this is the biggest annual Belizean event in the U.S.
Antun's is located in Queens right next to a commuter train station, subway and bus line. There is a very nice Howard Johnson's next door for lodging. It's good excuse to spend a weekend in NY and raise money for various Belizean charities. Tickets are $85 and that includes dinner.
This is always a very well organized and fun event. A good friend of mine, Melanie Martinez, has been running this for a number of years now. Her dad hails from San Ignacio and her aunt, Josephine Sutherland, still lives right on Burns Ave.
