Which is best to get to AC? Is it necessary to make reservations on the puddle jumper or ferry to get to AC? And how long is the ferry ride?

Thanks

should make reservations if going by air...this is the best way to go, to see the island as you fly in. The "ferry" is a water taxi..uncomfortable ride, but cheaper. Takes about 15 min. by air...1 hr. and 15 min. by water taxi!

Depends on when your flight arrives and what kind of a traveler you are.If you are the hurry up and get there type tourist, take the plane.....If you prefer the road less traveled think about taking the boat. The last water taxi leaves Belize City by 4;00pm Takes about a half hour by taxi cab from the airport to the swing bridge area where they leave from. Its a bit over an hour ride through the mangroves and islands to San Pedro, Altho this is inside the reef it can still get bumpy and wet if the wind is blowing. And if it happens to rain well....you get wet!! That said, I can tell you that I always take the boat when I can, as its a great ride and nice view.. You will meet plenty of locals and the price is right....... about 25.00 BZ
