there are two banners appearing on each thread. one at the top, one at the bottom. not sure why. i didn't put it there. seeing if we got hacked.....

i have not suddenly gone banner crazy. i don't know how these got in here.

yeah there is one at the bottom of each thread also. i cannot figure out how they got in. have a note out to gizmo to check on it.

I noticed an issue earlier today but didn't have time to advise. I do not see the actual banners/messages, as my anti-virus/anti-spam blocks it. Interesting though, it does not appear on this reply form - neither the banner or the blocked notification

no it appears to be just in the display topics area. i have searched and searched thru the templates but cannot find one that has this in it. but i'm not as good at this as gizmo. hopefully he will get my email soon....

I have a Chase add at the top and a youtube banner at the bottom. They rotate to something new each time you go into this area.

i agree. i sent a complaint into google adsense, someone has given them my url to get cash from, but they still got access to the server somehow to force them to appear

there was a security problem in all forums that use this script that came to the forefront last week. Gizmo applied the patches, we thought we hadn't been hit. the user he created was the same everywhere and that user didn't sign onto our board. but perhaps he left some droppings, a lil trojan or something. we're after it now.

Mine just disappeared.

Sorry folks, but if you could change your passwords it would be grand. in case the intruder got in using one of our passwords somehow. the stuff he did doesn't show in the admin log. they edited template files. He even installed a full on php shell, which allowed him to edit files at a later time, which would be today...

gizmo suggests we all change our passwords as well....
