Would you say it is better to book in advance or walk up and get a flight?

Book it. If you show up early they will try and put you on... But you have a seat at your booked time..If you walk up you might have to wait for the next hour.

I just took Maya Island Air from Dangriga to San Pedro. Both legs of the flight are HALF PRICE between 9-3pm. Dangriga to Belize Municipal only $55bzd! Might be a good time to check out the Southern Cayes.

The fares on the website dont seem to reflect the special pricing. Was there another link to see the fares or are they simply awarding the fare decrease at the counter?

I don't think they have a link at all...and definitely not on the website...it's cash only as well. Best to just call over to the airlines and ask.

I didn't even know the flight from Dangriga was so cheap...I was planning on taking the bus back.

One thing to add...at Chetumal ADO bus terminal make sure you have Mex pescos....they except nothing else.

Strange - ADO accept US$ everywhere I've bought tickets.

became enforced in Mex Oct. 2011, pesos/cc only (legally anyway)

I know I'm new on here, but my g/f and I just came out here via the ATL-CUN flight on AirTran then ADO bus to Belize City. ADO in Cancun stated I wasn't allowed to pay via credit card, pesos only and in cash.
