Belize Electricity Limited advises its customers in the Stann Creek District that the supply of electricity will be temporarily interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011.

Areas to be affected: the entire Placencia Peninsula which includes Seine Beight Village and Placencia Village; and the portion of Independence Village which includes Malacate Road and Noralez Area.

BEL apologizes for the inconvenience caused but this outage is necessary for the Company to connect main transformer Independence Substation.

Kindly note that the power outage scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2011 has been postponed until Friday, October 14, 2011. BEL apologizes for the inconvenience caused.

Belize Electricity Limited advises its customers in the Stann Creek District that the supply of electricity will be temporarily interrupted from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011.

Affected areas: the portion of the Placencia Peninsula from Plantation to the Placencia Airstrip.

Two fifteen-minute power outages from 4:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. will affect the entire Placencia Peninsula; and Malacate Road and Noralez Area in Independence Village.

BEL apologizes for the inconvenience caused but this outage is necessary for the Company to inspect and repair a damaged transformer in Placencia and replace equipment on the distribution system in the area.
