He was heartbroken when the last Bachelorette did not choose to marry him as he made it to the final rose ceremony on last season of ABC’s The Bachelorette. But now Ben Flajnik is the new Bachelor on ABC’s hit reality dating show which is filming on location in San Pedro, Belize!

Rumors were all over town of The Bachelor’s arrival so Ambergris Today got cracking and we were able to catch Ben, cast and crew as they arrived on the island on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. With all the cameras and people around we knew something was up! So we did some searching and found out that the entire filming production of The Bachelor was coming to Belize.

Yes, San Pedro Scoop and Ambergris Today were super sleuths at finding The Bachelor filming information! They are both great!!

But there are gaps. Does anyone have any information about filming on Thursday, Saturday or today? Where they were and what they were doing? And hopefully infomation about The Bachelor's date?

Coco Beach - yes.
Dates of filming are unnervingly similar to Temptation Island. Followed closely (24 hours) by Hurricane Keith. Let this not be an omen.

They were on Caye Caulker staying at Iguana Reef.Looked as if it was a date specific to a blonde female contestant. The couple went on a bike ride and filmed in various other locations. Shoulder length light blonde hair!!! She may be a top runner.
Is the show being filmed here in Belize for the whole season or is this just a side stop as they do sometimes?

OK, I found out this was a specific destination date. At this time they are down to 5 Bachorlettes and have eliminated 20 or so.The destination date was Caye Caulker not San Pedro, just the crew arrived early. I will try to paste a link below with some images...hope it works...

Not that you don't have more important things on your minds (GO AWAY RITA!) but just in case anyone is interested:

The Bachelor will be filming the Rose Ceremony tonight most likely at the Coco Beach Resort, perhaps in a meeting room or the lobby and/or on the beach, weather permitting. They usually film late in the evening. Then production will be around until they leave sometime on Tuesday and head back to the states.

Lights, camera, action! The Bachelor films on Caye Caulker

Caye Caulker has been a buzz with the TV show ‘The Batchelor’! For the past two days the crew and the contestants have been strutting their stuff around the island.

Much of the details are heavily under wraps as the nature of the ‘competition’ requires the general public and indeed the media to not get an idea of the show before it goes on air. However, the crew have filmed all over Caye Caulker, from the Split to even the basket ball court. Many of your favourite locals have been captured on film as ‘The Batchelor’ and his un-identified ‘one on one date’ walked front street during yesterday.

The Lazy Lizard/ The Split was the centre of the crews attention for the night time shoot as the Batchelor and his bevvy of beauties partied and entertained themseleves!!

Without the official word it does appear that an almost an entire episode will be focused around our little island and indeed, when it does come to air, it will allow a very international audience to see exactly why we love Caye Caulker so much!!
