I lived in San Pablo for years and we always had a resident crock under the dock. I was wary and even fenced the end of the canal by the road in order to prevent the crock from climbing out there and/or attacking dogs or kids. I have moved but still have friends and family that live in San Pablo. It was shocking to realize that recently a crock attacked 3 of my friends dogs, successfully killing 2 of them. It sure makes you realize how vulnerable you can be. I don't want to see the crock destroyed if at all possible - we are of course encroaching on his territory.
I would like to donate $100 to ACES. I realize it is only a small donation, but I think if enough people were to pitch in we might be able to eventually enjoy a crocodiles sanctuary and education centre and turn this all into a positive situation for all involved.
I know we all sit around and think, ahh, somebody else is taking care of that problem - but when we all think that nothing gets accomplished - please, help financially if you can. It's easy to give money to cute puppies and kittens, but crocks just aren't that cuddly - but they need our love too.
