Suki, 47 lb Plott Hound, orange/brown brindle slipped her tether and collar near Caribbean Villas. Thin like greyhound but with droopy round ears. Has run as far as Casa Rana. Call 627-4120.
Me too! Three times in two weeks! David has been teaching her and taking her on walks, with the pack. She isn't happy....it makes me so upset. Poor thing.
I sure hope you find her. Have you tried a harness instead of a collar? More secure...but not fail-safe either; we had a dog escape a harness when she lost weight and I didn't tighten it. Crossing fingers for Suki's safe return!
Datallmon walked the beach from Estelles to Caribbean villas, and later from Caribbean Villas to the Water Plant....no Suki. There were reports of her yesterday from BCs to Banyan Bay. Remember 627- 4120, and thanks for your help and patience about our posts.
GwenA I hope you find your Suki safe very soon! Jesse, I fail to see the relevance of your post here. Suki is surely a well-kept pet and recipient of good care and control. Many good dogs owned by good folks find their way off the collar while becoming accustomed to leash walking. I'm certain the good people at SAGA in their capacity of 'dog catcher' would not consider Suki to be a nuisance and would return her to her rightful parents if found.
My post, which was deleted was a notice sent to me from Saga, to be posted on all media....which is what I was doing. Apparently this dog-oriented thread wasn't where it belonged. Sorry...
We had a report tonight that she was seen near Journeys end! We only have a few sources we know there. I left a message at Elberts Dive Shop, and we will be following up first thing. I can't believe how badly we are being treated by Jesse. This is a family member, and we are trying very hard to find her.
I hope you find your family dog. Stay calm as you can and remember how long these island dogs can survive on there own. Thats why they feel the need to run away, they have remarkable survival skills. The dog hasnt come to the understanding you are his best friend and with strays and alot of dogs that takes time. We adopted a dog to some folks and he continuously scaled a 12 ft wall to escape. Then he scaled it to get back in but it took time. I think you will find your dog again. I dont know why the post was made with the strycnine poisoning issue..that isnt happening. And how cruel to add that to this post..what a jerk.
