A group of students (11people) and I from the university of Upper Iowa will be taking an alternative spring break trip (March 3-9) and will be spending the duration of our week on Caye Caulker volunteering. Hi Kate ,i am a french Canadian owner of the split and Lazy lizard bar here in C.C.,there a children park near my place who really need a facelift,(small fixing but a lot of paint ) if you want to do-it i will purpose the paint & material.

There are many worthy organizations to volunteer with in CC. If you like animals, I suggest you consider helping Madi Collins at the P.A.W. Animal Sanctuary. I've volunteered there several times and believe she is doing a wonderful service for animals on the island.

The childrens Park is always in need of a facelift. Directly behind the park is The Caye Caulker Humane Society. They have Saturday Clinics, and if you have a group that would like to go out into the local neighborhoods and distribute vaccines, flea and tick prevention etc. Its not much work, riding on golf carts but it will give your group a birdseye view of local life.
