A little news from SACNW...

Please be sure to keep an extra lookout for your neighbours, guests and property during the holidays. Our area will start to get busy and a lot of us will be going out more often. The bad guys will be looking for easy opportunities to take advantage of vulnerable situations. Let's not make it easy for them.

If you are baking or cooking goodies please consider dropping some off at the station - the patrol officers love extra treats.

We now have 6 patrol officers on duty - all but one has some first responder training and we have a basic medical kit at the station including oxygen.

SACNW operates a 24/7 patrol on the south end of Ambergris Caye from Victoria House to the tip of the island. The patrol can assist with roadside emergencies and security issues as well as offer first response care. Call the patrol at 610 4911.

SACNW runs on donations from area residents as well as visitors and guests. Please consider making a donation to the group if we have ever rendered assistance to you or one of your guests.

SACNW recent news

Just saw a post on Facebook that Mr. Coy, one of our security guards just saved a young child drowning in a swimming pool. He had just take a first responder course. Kudos to Mr. Coy for his prompt response and the entire SACNW for their great work in keeping our neighborhood safe.

Meeting tonight, Wednesday 11th January 2012

The first general monthly meeting of the year is tonight - at 7pm at Mr Joe's Lone Star Grill and Cantina. Come early and stay later. Meet your neighbours and enjoy a meal. Hear what is happening in the zone. Meetings lasts about 45 minutes - the rest of the time we just have fun catching up and making plans. See you there.

What an awesome show of faces at the first meeting of the year. All the usual characters and plenty of new members. Thanks to all that made the effort to attend. A big kudos to Inspector Dominguez of the San Pedro police department and Mr Joseph Elijio of the San Pedro town council for making the effort to attend our meetings and for all of the support they have given us over the past 2 years. Mr Joe's Lone Star Grill was jumping and the staff were amazing. To all of those that couldn't attend, maybe we will see you next month. Please continue to support our organization in working to keep South Ambergris Caye safe, secure, healthy and beautiful! Minutes will be sent via email over the weekend. Great meeting, nice to see such a good turn out and the food and service really was excellent. So glad we have the Lonestar down south to enjoy.
