Ok I have December 26 on my list as "Christmas" and December 27 as "Boxing Day". Does this mean we pay our employees for the 25, 26, and 27 for holiday pay? Getting no answer at Labor of course

Ok I finally got through to labor. In the event anyone needs to know. December 25th is a regular work day. December 26th is double time. December 27th is time and a half. New Year's Day is a regular working day, and January 2nd is time and a half.

Ok, so now Christmas Day is NOT a holiday? When did Dec 27th become a holiday??? I'd imagine the 26th is what is being considered "Christmas" and the 27th then becomes "Boxing Day."

And why the heck is Jan 2nd time and a half? The day after the day after New Year's Eve is now a holiday? What's it called if I may ask, given that "New Year's Day" is already taken?

Suppose it's all still better than Easter... Good Friday, Easter Sat, Easter Sun, Easter Mon... we close around Easter. Simply isn't worth staying open, regardless of how busy the island is.

According to the Labor Department, Christmas Day and New Year's Day are "regular" working days. I am assuming they moved the "holidays" to accommodate those people who work Monday through Friday. So employees only get holiday pay on the 26th, (Christmas) the 27th (Boxing day) and the 2nd of January, (New Year's Day)
