This is the first Christmas I have ever spent away form family in New England. It is different here in CC, however many things are the same. There are plenty of friends wishing Merry Christmas and the same excited smiles on the faces of children. We have been invited to some friends homes for Christmas dinner and had to choose which one to accept. The welcoming spirit here makes me feel at home. I miss the winter weather, but at the same time I love that I am tying this message in my shorts and bare feet while listening to children sing Christmas songs.
