If one leaves TX and down the coast: is this a good idea, easy trip, how long or are you nuts thinking about such a trip?

Getting gas along the way? Hotels along the way or straight through trip?

That was a huge worry; driving a MB SL500 R129 - a target.

I have driven to Belize from LA, NYC, CHI and TX many times. I wouldn't advise it at this time. It's extremely dangerous and a shame because it's a beautiful drive.

Driving now is dangerous, if you cant fight the urge, dont be in a flashy car, and most important dont drive after dark, although these days is really doesnt matter, day or night.
