How does the department handle case like this?
Ernest Dominguez - Officer in charge, San Pedro Fire Dept
"In cases as such the persons who start that is more a line for social
services, in the case."

I understand you had problems extinguishing the fire because you ran out of
water?
Ernest Dominguez - Officer in charge, San Pedro Fire Dept
"The truck we have holds 400 gallons of water and when it is finished it is
finished. After the water was finished we had to find alternative source.
I the case of the fire the kids were at home without any adult
supervision."
The unfortunate incident was one that could have been prevented and
according to officer commanding the San Pedro police, Dennis Arnold the
fire victim and mother of the child will be charged with child neglect and
endangerment.
Dennis Arnold - Officer in Charge, San Pedro Police
"A child under 12 years old cannot commit an offence. The children who
were home at the time were all under 10 years so I guess that the parents
will have to bear the consequence."
While the fire damaged both structures entirely and all its contents
inside, the families suffered a completely loss as it was not insured. But
like many situations where families are in need, the community of San Pedro
have banded to assist the families with clothing and food items. The San
Pedro Lions club facilitated a clothing drive for the family on Monday.
