If you are a teacher or community leader and love to work with children, then you would probably like to form part of a kite-building project. In a science class, kite building can demonstrate basic aerodynamic principles such as the aerofoil and the dihedral and factors affecting stability of flight. In art classes, kites can be decorated with paints or crayons, or various other techniques such as marbling and in math classes, kite building can be used to teach the students on basic shapes and angles. In seeing that kite making can benefit students in many ways, the Banquitas House of Culture here in Orange Walk will be conducting a one day workshop for persons interested in the art of kite making.
