The 7th Edition of the Belize International Film Festival is set.

JULY 13 – 17, 2012

The National Institute of Culture and History has declared Belize’s 2012 as “The Maya Heartland”, and the Belize International Film Festival took note.

We continue to extend the brand of the Belize International Film Festival – putting not only our films on the world stage, but also the great culture of our country.

So, mark your calendars as we keep you posted on Festival updates!

The Belize International Film Festival 2012
is now accepting

***Feature (Narrative / Documentary / Animation)
***Short (Narrative / Documentary / Animation)
***Music Video (open to Belizeans only)

This year, BIFF will explore Belize’s Mayan heritage with
a special sidebar screening of all things Maya. This sidebar is suitably called “Maya Heartland.” BIFF 2012 will also delve into the world of animation 2-D, 3-D, Stop Motion, Traditional) with local and international filmmakers participating in a one-day symposium. Animated
motion pictures are becoming a great contender in the box
office, and we feel it is our duty to provide a platform to
discuss its future: in Belize and the world! So animators,
this is your year!
