We are coming down mid january for 8 days. Two of our party want to leave from Belize City and go to Cancun to meet their kids instead of flying back directly to the states after the 8 days. For some odd reason, the travel agents can't book it. I seem to remember there were flights on the local airlines up to Cancun. Anyone have any info or rough prices? Any information or opinions welcome

Aerocaribe has discontinued flights between Belize and Cancun. This is typical for the off-season, and flights probably will be restored after Thanksgiving (but who knows for sure?) I don't recall the exact prices, but it's fairly expensive, something like US$130 one-way. If all else fails, you can fly or take the new ferry to Corozal Town and hop over the border to Chetumal and catch a flight there. Or a bus, which in Mexico is more comfortable than the plane.

Thanks Lan. this may turn out to be a moot point, as NW wants $800 a head to fly them back from Cancun to Minneapolis.
