No. You'll have to try some other delicacy. Feb 14 is the last day of the season.

I could be wrong but I believe that some restaurants have a license to sell lobster all year round. I'm almost sure of it.

If you don't mind paying double for frozen lobster

I'm going with this. Yes, the season closes---but some places have frozen stuff, and a permit to get them through. Then again, it's available fresh.

and knowing that it's very likely illegal anyway --- please, we have a very overfished lobster situation and buying out of season (license or not) just contributes to the demise of this valuable resource.

AND PLEASE - if the tails are undersize don't buy them and tell the seller why. I have stopped buying from the fisherman I used for years and he knows why.

If you hammer out conch with a meat tenderizer & cook on grill, I think it is better thank lobster.
