So I told you last week my battery was stolen out of my golf cart.Three days ago they got the charger. It was charging my cart so that I could move it to a safer place to park it.It was chained to my cart.It was daylight and I was home when it happened. They did not come through my gate, they used the fence. I since have had tree limbs cut back to make access harder.Have an alarm on it so if they move the seat it will blare.Next, I am going to have a TICKLER put on cart so they can get the [#%!] shocked out of them when they try again..I have no doubts..they will be back. I am replacing the battery and charger tomorrow. It is parked at a safe place.(for now) I have been told by many to get another dog for the yard. But I will end up letting the dog in and defeating the purpose.Don't see myself being able to have an outside dog.. Just wanted to update you all on my golfcart issues~ lol
Love the idea of the booby trap "shocker". As a matter of fact, this would provide for most excellent entertainment (go ahead... make my day!).
Another thing I have done (for fencing, entryways, windows and doors) are stringing up jingle bells, using invisible type string. It's like Christmas all year long
A good dog can be inside and alert you to someone outside. My dog not only protects my property but he feels responsibe for my neighbors. When he growls in the night I get up and let him out. He goes out barking and charging. Sometimes it's only the neighbors cat but I always thank him for being on gaurd. In addition to the protection you will get love like you can't believe. The island pot lickers are wonderful.
