The Premier League of Belize opened its 2012 tournament over the weekend with two games on Saturday night and four on Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday night at the MCC, Police clipped visiting Placencia Assassin, 1-nil; and out at the Norman Broaster Stadium, BDF and San Pedro Seadogs played to a 2-2 draw.

On Sunday afternoon at the MCC Grounds in Belize City, F.C. Belize dropped World FC, 1-nil; meanwhile, out west at the Marshalleck Stadium, visiting Belmopan Bandits handed Hankook Verdes their first loss, 1-nil; at the Norman Broaster Stadium it was San Ignacio United, 1-0, over visiting Paradise/Freedom Fighers; and in an Orange Walk clash at the San Felipe Football Field, visiting Juventus played to a 2-2 draw with San Felipe Barcelona.
