Check out Belizean Artist Gerry Badillo in his first music video featuring the talented Lucio Nunez, vocalist of the rock band "Beneath The Lies". The song is a Spanish version of Joe Jonas's smash hit "See No More". The Song was recorded/produced by another talented Belizean Artist, Derrick Banos from Absolute Rip'd Records.
Belize is known for ancient Maya ruins, great food, world-class diving, and lush tropical rainforests, but something you don't often hear about is the wealth of artistic talent coming out of this tiny Central American hotspot.
Up and coming Belizean artist Gerry Badillo released his first music video today for "Ya No Quiero Verte Mas," featuring another local recording artist, Lucio Nunez, the vocalist behind the popular band, Beneath the Lies.
This addicting track was produced and recorded by Derrick Banos from Absolute Rip'd Records and is a Spanish version of Joe Jonas' smash hit, "See No More."
San Ignacio based fashion designer Joris Hendrik provided the dress for the model in the video-- a unique and edgy design made with film tape reel, a tie in to the video itself. Hendrik's designs are some of the most bold and expressive designs to come out of Belize, utilizing his love of Caribbean culture and a background in architecture.
By day, Badillo is a graphic designer at Ambergris Today newspaper on the island of Ambergris Caye, but his creative personality extends far beyond the computer screen. He is the host of the Wave Music Countdown show, emcees a lot of the island's events, and is the talent behind Ambergris Today's "What's Up Today, Gerry?" video blog, just to name a few.
Take note: if Badillo is not on your musical radar, he should be.
This Examiner is honored to have Badillo as a personal friend and wishes him nothing but great successes with his first single and music video.
