Is it a legal fully licensed service? The island abounds in rumour so interested in fact.

How is it with the pickup at the airport?? I thought only taxis could pickup paying passengers? That is why there is no shuttle to Belize City. People have been trying to get to / from the airport for some time. Has something changed? Anybody know the rules?

Are the baggage limits on the flights lower than what is allowed on the international flights?

If you brought it through the International airport you can get it to Ambergris Caye. I have noticed however, that sometimes, your bags will be on a different flight than you are and you may have to wait a little on the island for all of your luggage to join you. Some divers (those who bring lots of equipment) choose to take a boat for this reason but rest assured, you will get your stuff.

Flights leave the arpt. every hr, most resorts provide transportation to their properties. The local airlines are very accommidating when it comes to luggage, there are no over-wt fees.

It's about a 15/20 minute drive (who ever came up with 3-5 minutes needs a new watch) from the arpt to the Oarhouse and a 1+hr boat ride to spr. Since it is at least a 3 hr turn time to return to Bellevista, verses almost 20 acft. with 30 return time, even with 2 boats operating, there is no way they can match the frequency and convienence of local airservice.

Their operating permit for hire is, at this time, apparently to only 1 property. If they would happen to be operating outside their permit, any insurance would of course be null and void.

travellers/visitors do have options, which is good

If you're from the USA trust me when I say, it's safer here than any place in the USA. Just be respectful to the water, earth, and the people and you will have a great time.

Speaking of safe: Did they ever get that "constable' that used to get drunk and pull his gun on the expats off the island? He was one person of interest that left a lot to be desired in the area of safety...lol
