The Belize Karate Federation held a successful National Team Training and Try-out, over the weekend in San Ignacio in preparation for the upcoming Cental American and Caribbean Karate Championship to be held in Guatemala City from the 16th - 22nd April 2012. Twenty athletes participated from different clubs in Belize. Members were selected for the Central American and Caribbean Championship and range in age from 12 years – to adults within respective categories. The CSK is preparing for its 3rd National Junior Karate Championship that will be held in Benque Viejo on April 1st. Thereafter some of our members will definitely catch the national team to participate in the Central American and Caribbean Karate Championship in Guatemala City from the 16th to the 22nd of April, this year. We will then prepare for our annual CSK Karate Camp, which will be held in Cayo.

Another training meet and try-out will be held this Saturday 31st March at the Cayo Shotokan Karate Club Dojo, commencing at 9am to fill other vacant spots. This Sunday 1st April the Belize Karate Federation under the sponsorship of the Kazoku Shotokan Karate Dojo is having its III National Junior Karate Championship to be held at the Mount Carmel High School Auditorium in Benque Viejo Town, commencing at 9am sharp. Members form 5 years to 20 years old will be participating in this event.
