I am very interested in teaching or working at a school in San Pedro. Since I do not currently live there, I am trying to figure out how to go about the application process and how to contact the schools to give my current information to them. I would greatly appreciate any information or suggestions that could help me further this process. Even a just a list of schools to contact would be great!

The best way to get this information would be to call the education department on 226 4742.

Thank you so much! Would you happen to know I could contact that office through e-mail?

You can send lots of e-mails to government offices but you will rarely if ever receive a reply. The workers have limited access to computers for e-mail, and they usually have a lot of demands on their time so the personal touch is the best approach.
If you are serious about this inquiry, place a call.

Are you planning on living off your wages as a teacher here? If so you are in for a big suprise as teachers make very little. If you want to volunteer teach that is an option to consider but still requires a work permit.

Wouldn't this fall into the catagory of jobs that can be filled by Belizans, thus not eligible by others?

No it does not, there are many volunteer teachers as well as a few paid ones that I know of.
