Has anyone heard anything about Caye Chapel For Sale (2012)?

I heard something in passing recently about it going into receivership.

There is information on the NET but it is not consistent. I've read "For Sale" @ $45 Million, $65 Million, and $75 Million.

Does anyone know anything about this?
Is it for Sale?
How much is it going for (2012)?

Thanks! Caye Chapel Island - Belize

Yes it is for sale.

The Belize Bank are the owners now.

I believe that your lower figure is in the correct ballpark, but with Bill Gates around (coincidence?), the number may have gone up smile

And the golf course is now open again.

On occasion the Water Taxi will stop at Caye Chapel and maybe one or two people would get on or off the boat.

There never seemed to be any one around and you felt like the place was deserted. Never saw anyone on the greens either.

Seems to me being the only golf course in Belize it should be booming.

I think that three of the problems may be the oldest in business

or perhaps it's due to the dwindling supply of millionaires.

In the listing for the Island it's marketed as Belize's best kept secret.

whenever you see "best kept secret" or "quaint and charming" in an add = we have no customers
