link to http://AmbergrisCaye.com/photogallery or click on the slice of todays pic of the day at the top of this thread.

if you don't get today's photo, try purging the cache in your browser. You are reading from computer memory and not from the server. I changed the way the page loads to make the "Facebook like" thing work.

If it keeps giving folks problems i'll go back, but i'd like not to have to. Kay had problems and we got it to work by purging her history in her browser.

it has nothing to do with the message board. it is how one's browser is loading the page http://AmbergrisCaye.com/photogallery. it is reading from browser memory and not getting a fresh one off the web server.

You can clear the browser cache from the options / preferences section in the web browser ( Tools >> Internet options in Microsoft Internet Explorer ).

here's an example of the problem:

When I click on the photo at the top of the page I get the picture of the day from earlier this month "Holiday Hotel 1987". Then I am forced to advance one-by-one to get to the current photo.

one needs to clear browser history or cache, same thing different names. see bottom of above thread for directions.

I am trying to figure out a coding way to force loads from the server and not from the viewer's computer's browser memory

i set my browsers cache or "history" to delete itself every day, then you keep stuff from piling up on your computer, and also insure that you get fresh content from often visited websites...
