The U.S. Embassy Belmopan would like to announce two changes to the American Citizens Services (ACS) Unit. First, starting Monday, May 7, 2012, ACS will offer appointments for passports and additional visa pages on Monday afternoons instead of Monday mornings. This change is to make attending appointments more convenient for ACS clients who must travel for several hours to reach the Embassy. The Embassy will continue to offer passport and additional visa pages appointments on Thursday mornings.
Applicants wishing to apply for a U.S. passport, additional visa pages, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, and notarial services must schedule appointments online at
http://belize.usembassy.gov. Second, beginning Monday, May 7, the U.S. Embassy will begin accepting credit card payment for U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, additional visa pages, and notarial services. Credit card payments will not be accepted for any other services, including any visa fees. The U.S. Embassy will continue to accept U.S. and Belize currency as payment for these ACS services.
