Ok, Sunday -- "Wedding Day."
I spent Friday night in my mom's room to avoid seeing the groom before the wedding, so I wake up on Sunday and wait for Joe and the guys to leave to go fishing. My mom was so sweet, she brought me breakfast in bed since I couldn't leave the room until Joe left.
After breakfast in bed, I just relaxed with the girls and laid out a little bit at the pool. We had lunch and spa treatments in Casa Animada - which is a beautiful home on SunDiver's property. The lunch was incredible!!! Crepes (seafood or chicken), fruit salad, and cheesecake. It was so awesome, but I was a little nervous so I didn't eat nearly as much as I should have. Mark outdid himself.
OH - I just remember what we did for dinner on Saturday - we had a barbeque by the pool - Mark grilled AmberJack. It was awesome!
Ok, back to wedding day. All day, there were some girls there doing spa treatments for the women in our group. Lynde from La Diosa spa (near Victoria House, I believe) was a miracle worker! She gave me the best massage of my life on the balcony of the house. It was WONDERFUL! I highly recommend you pay her a visit. I can't say enough.
Well, my spa treatments ran a little late, so before I knew it, I had about 45 minutes to shower and be fully dressed and ready to walk down the aisle. YIKES!!
So into the shower I go. Tazmara comes in to help me with my hair and make-up, and we are all going crazy running out of time. The minister wasn't well, so I kept getting yelled at to hurry up because the minister was sitting on the pier waiting for me. Well, everything was running on Belize time up to that point, but now all of a sudden I was expected to be EARLY! UGH! Well, I didn't get a chance to fix my hair, but what do you do??? Here comes the bride....
The wedding setting was PERFECT. Tazmara, Mike, and everyone at SunDiver worked very hard to make it beautiful, and it exceeded all expectations. When I get to Joe, the minister asks us to sit because he's not feeling well, so we sat through the whole ceremony. It seemed a little awkward, but it worked out ok. The ceremony was beautiful. The music, the poetry, the Bible reading and "rose ceremony" made it so special! The pictures turned out really well, so when I figure out how to post them to a website, I'll get them on the board. Anyone know how to do that? I have digital pictures on a CD.
So after pictures, we eat dinner, and Joe and I turn in early. Tazmara let us stay in Casa Animada, which was very nice.
The wedding was perfect, and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful ceremony. My family and friends all looked gorgeous and happy for Joe and I.
OK, that's all for now. The next day, we take off to Cayo, so I'll post that in the "Other parts of Belize" section....
