If you got that from my post, I'm very sorry because I certainly didn't mean it that way. If you got it from posts after that, I don't get the impression that they meant to slap you either.

I just think that we are all a little ticked off at some anonymous person deciding what we should and should not read.

If the person that is pulling the threads would just let us know in advance that it is about to be pulled or at least have the gumption to stand up and say it is them and why they did it, we might feel differently. However, there is just some anonymous person out there who seems to believe that he/she is superior to us in deciding what should be left on the board. And some of it is pretty fricken arbitrary.

And to the other person, (sorry I can't remember who it was) who asked why we would care if someone pulled a post, well, the answer is, maybe we wouldn't care so much if it were just *one* post. The problem is that someone is pulling whole threads of posts.

Funny how all y'all complain about a post being pulled when it's one you like...

BillnJeanne(sorry if I messed up the spelling). I don't remember which thread of yours got pulled, but I can assure you I cared. Perhaps I didn't notice that thread if it wasn't one I was following. Regardless, I'm not in favor of threads being pulled without fair warning. No matter what the thread is about.

That said, there is currently a nasty little post made by Elmer Greer or some name like that, that should probably be yanked.

BillandJeanne...I'm sorry if I didn't support you when your post got pulled. I really don't remember, but I had quit reading for a while. If I didn't say it before,I'm saying it now...I care!!!

seashell, yes......and I am also sorry I reacted that way. We sometimes forget that these posts are here on the WWW for everyone to see, forever, or as long as this board exists. Someone made the judgement to pull it. It created a new topic and those of us that read this daily will remember what was said. No hurt intended. ( it was only a little slap) just joking.

No, I haven't forgotten that these threads are on the WWW to be seen. If someone wants to delete a thread after it has been dead for a good while, that is a different matter. Deleting a thread that is still current without warning or expressed justification, is just wrong in my opinion.

The fact that there is a Capt. out there that feels the superiority to anonymously determine what we should and should not read, is just wrong.

Besides that, what was the harm in having the WWW see a thread about underage drinking and people's opinions on how that should be handled? Just because there was some controversy, it gets yanked? But it's OK for the WWW to check in and see a bunch of people going on and on about a dog or a blue drink in a toilet bowl (no offense meant to Becky or blue drink drinkers).

I wish there was an answer to the question. I need to stop talking about this. Sorry.
