Everybody has their own take on the town-water issue. We live far from town water and have our own cistern that works very well. We have no water bill, and are not in a panic when WASA has one of it's "issues".
For full disclosure - I live north and love it. Josh lives south and loves it.
90% + of Ambergris Caye is out of the range of service from WASA. San Pedro proper that it services is a small 10%...disregarding the taxed area.. People on this part of the island have developed systems of their own, and I see that independence as a good thing. Tres Cocos is a great little community but much to close to town for my liking. The problems of San Pedro seep over the bridge to effect Tres Cocos and will more as the town grows.
