I don't know if it will be a Four Seasons, but I'm optimistic that some company will do an upscale resort on Caye Chapel. It's a beautiful island, easily accessible by boat or air from Belize City or San Pedro, with a nice seaside golf course, and the property is big enough to develop a sizeable resort.

The Qatar Foundation purchased the island. http://www.qf.org.qa/ The rumour is that they'll open a Four Seasons which doesn't fit the typical parameters for the resort brand. It's more of a city or established destination brand imho, but when you have endless funding impossible is nothing.

Caye Chapel has been good for birds, Golfing while birdwatching is a delight. Lots of birds there I don't see here.

Thats because birds are the only ones there, Elbert.

I haven't seen a birdie or an eagle on any golf course in a LONG time...:(
