What's security like for the sailing cruiser community?

Given the acts of piracy against sailing tourists and sailing fishermen, not very good.

1) The "gangs of belize" are not here, trust me on this
2) The island grew too fast
3) We will fix it
4) It's a great place to live

Violence? It's global. Nobody is immune.

I live in Colorado and agree with you. There has been a major shooting in my state that has stopped people from asking me if Ambergris Caye is safe. Their hometown and their little bubble has been destroyed by a young man that had a promising future in medicine.
