just brought a Digiorno Pizza from Super Buy South, the box was a bit crushed but thats not unusual, got it home and popped it in the oven, well the crust did not rise and it tasted like cardboard. When i checked the box the "best before date" had been torn off. I went back to the store and checked the other Pizza boxes and found that all of them had the best before dates removed. I complained but was told that if the date is not on the box how can they know when it is out of date....... So take care when buying any frozen product from "Super Buy"

Did they refund your money? They are usually pretty good about that.

Wow, that sucks tracker. I usually find they refund, but.... This is a consumer bureau issue and we do have a good system. Tell the health inspector.

I should elaborate, he has only been in term for 4 months ,and has covered many bases that we were concerned about. Drop him a note, he has mentioned his concerns that run parallel with your complaint.
Give it a shot you may be surprised,he has a full plate; he will listen.

Out of date tampering happens all the time, I have seen yogurt and Diary products dates removed by razor blades, labels torn off. Got to be a smart shopper. The last time I saw yogurt 2 months outdated and then the dates scraped out at our local store I called the Dept of health, and the store got busted, thats a deadly situation to save a few dollars in the stores income..

Thanks for the advice and comments. I went back today and all the pizzas had be removed, so at least no one else will get a bad Pizza. No refund but now I am wiser, fresh made pizza from now on.

Watch out it may return in a day or so after the dust settles or they sold it to another store.

I agree Tracker...lots of fresh pizza options on the island! I stay away from the frozen American products in the grocery store like the plague. Who knows how many times that stuff has been thawed and refrozen...not to mention the price.
