The exact day for the first roundup will not be revealed....however....it is days away and not weeks. Please keep your dogs confined to your property or on tether. Leash laws need to be observed also. Please share this with your friends and neighbors as well. If a dog is captured it will be held at Saga for 3 days. If claimed by an owner during that period....fees will be collected before the animal is returned. If a dog is not claimed during that 3 days....depending upon space available....a decision will be made as to whether to further hold for potential adoption or humanely euthanize.

How are you notifying the majority of San Pedranos; those being owners that don't follow this message board? Just curious, no dog in the fight . . erm, uh. Oh well, yes, just curious, thanks.

humane eradication -- an oxymoron?

Mr Sluder....I feel quite certain you have never seen a beautiful animal poisoned with strychinne or you would not have made that comment. I can assure you that I...or anyone else with Saga is the least bit interested in killing these animals. As for myself....I governed a 400+ animal "no-kill" shelter in the states. I never dreamed I would be destroying companion animals. It is simply the lesser of two evils.

I still think humane eradication is a contradiction in terms.

We could ship all the excess unwanted animals to you in North Carolina. Will you accept them?
