Are aestheticians in San Pedro required to be licensed by the country of Belize? Are there any other local requirements necessary to perform these services?

I appreciate any information. I have been searching on the Internet but can find no information,

A non Belizean coming to Belize to be an aesthetician would have to apply for a work permit. If you are just educated in the basic cosmotology form you may not be able to even get a work permit as it would conflict with the many Belize natives that have salons and trained in facials etc. You would need education documentation to even try, self taught will not work. If you have a Medical background then the cost of the work permit is high. You would also need to apply to be registered by the Medical board. You may have an easier time applying for a work permit as an employee of someone that needs your service and can provide proof they could not find a Belizean to do the job you can do. Or perhaps a Hotel that wants your services for thier patrons that can say they cant find a Belizean to do it.
