“POTATO’S” is the Theme!

Come out and support the community of San Pedro Town by attending SAGA’s monthly cook-off fundraiser hosted this month by Crazy Canucks. Rob & Krista, the new owners, are excited to host this cook-off as it will be the first one ever held at Crazy Canucks. A favorite Sunday afternoon gathering place for the family, make the evening of August 22nd another fun filled, family event at Crazy Canucks by attending SAGA’s monthly cook-off.

Challenge our host, Rob & Krista, & enter a mouth watering potato dish!

Here are some of the many ways to use a potato:

Bacon & Potato Soup
Gnocci
Scalloped Potato’s
Cheesy Potato Skins
Potato Cakes
Creamy Garlic Mashed Potato’s

To enter a dish, please call the clinic at 226-3266, or contact any Saga representative. Your dish will need to serve a minimum of 65 bite size or sample size servings. Registration is not required, but encouraged. Please bring your entry by 6:00 p.m. on the night of the event. Food Serving starts at approx. 6:25 p.m. Tickets sell fast!

Only $10.00BZ to sample all the dishes! Then you vote for the winning dish.

SAGA Humane Society would like to extend their thanks to Rob & Krista Burrows, the owners of Crazy Canucks, for hosting our monthly Cook-off Fundraiser held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Rob & Krista & bartender Ali were very accommodating to everyone & wonderful hosts!

Once again, we tried a new theme – “POTATO’S and again, it was well received. We had (10) entries and each and every one of them were delicious! And the 1st Place Winner was….Kendra Anderson with her Chili Mashed Potatoes. Kendra took home a Toaster Oven for her winning dish. 2nd Place went to Carolina Gonzalez with her Chili Baked Potato’s, winning a Hamilton Beach Hand Mixer. And 3rd Place went to our hosts, Rob & Krista Burrows with their Beer Spuds, taking home a 5 Piece Knife Set. The other mouth watering entries were as follows: The Smoke House and Wet Willy’s with their Egg & Tater Salad, Elizabeth Bertsche with her Twice Baked w/Bacon & Cheese, Edna Marin with her Scalloped Potato’s, Carolina Gonzalez with Chicken Potato Salad, Noemi Castro with her Potato Bombay, Faride Salinas with her BBQ Potato Balls, and Adaly Ayuso with her Sheppard’s Pie. Thank you to everyone who entered a dish!
