Still in San Pedro for 8 more days. I was going to get certified before I came back next February. Things happened and I am here now. Was looking for a good place to get certified. I have asked around and been given prices from $350US to $475US. Any suggestions who has the best deal for the money. Not necessarily looking for the cheapest because safety is always number 1. Any suggestions ?
My nephew got his Jr. cert from White Sands - his Mom was most impressed not only with the instruction, but with the concern for proper safety and oversight.
I'll second the comment for White Sands....Elbert certified two of our daughters. They did their book work in the States and when we got to San Pedro we handed them over to him. In a matter of days they were confident & responsible divers. The confidence allowed them to be a bit playful when diving with us even at respectful depths. One of my favorite things they learned that we were not aware of; is how to know the direction of the shoreline under water by following the Sea Fans.....Great experience for them and great peace of mind for me.

My sons, my nieces, and my nephews all got certified by Elbert or his associates. This winter, I am getting 2 more nieces coming to visit to be certified by the same group. They are safe, kind, and thorough. I still dive with them and am always struck by the same above qualities.
