Passport holders from Argentina, Brazil, and Chile no longer need visas for Belize.

Very good move, imo.....

Great move on the part of Belize.

Unfortunately we still have a bottleneck for travelers from all over - Miami.
Most flights from South America connect in Miami, and these citizens need visas to be in the Miami Airport even in transit.

Wish there was an alternative hub that did not involve multiple landings along the way .......

I have been on some out-of-my-way flights, but I had to check this out of curiosity?
Went to Orbitz, checked Rio, Santiago, Buenos Aires to BZE.
All go through Bogota or Lima, then San Salvador?
Since 9-11, Homeland Security and the wonderful TSA, I can't see why anyone in the airline business would go out of their way for that fiasco.

Miami, San Salvador, or Mexico City are the first intermediate stops for almost all the flights from BZE to points south.

There are places you can only get to via Miami I'm sure, but not the 3 countries mentioned.

I was told the visa restrictions were not lifted yet, because it was not published at the Gazette. Do you know anything about it? I´m Brazilian, and I would like to visit Belize.

Thanks!
Belize has no Embassy in Brazil, and no airline flies from Brazil to Belize.
I wrote to the Immigration Department of Belize, let´s see if they answer.

Lots of airlines fly to from Brazil-Belize though none directly. You can fly via Honduras, Miami, Atlanta, and Mexico City and more. Do an online search at one of the cheap fare places and you'll find lots of options.
