Looking at summer 2013 to book vaca...please let me know if there is a better time from the end of May to middle of July. I would really like to be there when it is warm and sunny and little rain.

June 1st the official beginning of the rainy season. Usually though you will be able to enjoy a lot of gorgeous sunny days throughout the months of May thru July. April through May might be better if you want to hedge your bets a little. However I think rates will still be a tad higher in April.

This year rainy season started early, and it rained a lot in May as well as June, then the rest of rainy season seemed a lot less rainy. You just never know...this is Mother Nature we're talking about!

In 2010 we came for two weeks in May. Had hardly any rain the entire time, except for one crazy day when it rained 11"! That is NOT normal, though. grin

Lobsterfest is in June and is a lot of fun, so that's something else to consider.

I was there in April, and August this year and not a single day of rain. Although in August it did rain overnight a couple times. So it's really hit or miss I think. Not a local yet, but in sept of 2013 I will be.

Just make it toward the end of June...Lobster season. Even if it rains, you'll eat well!
