Lots of kayaks for rent here, probably end up cheaper than buying one.

yea, i thought that too. but if i had them available it would be an evearyday thing. when we go to the keys, we'd go out everyday. i may buy an inflatable and bring it with me, but they are pricey!!!!

Unless someone knows of another source, I think your best bet is to buy one and bring it with you in a suitcase. If you can find one here in Belize (not sure you can) it will for sure be more expensive than what you can get in the U.S.

we have an inflatable kayak for sale - it's brand new and in Placencia - can probably send it up with sailboat friends to cc. see the link to it here:

sea eagle SE 370

Cost is $780bz - for the pro package - and that includes:

2 AB30 paddles (rrp $119USD)
2 Deluxe Kayak Seats
SB-2 carry bag
A-41 foot pump

all new - but I do agree with cooper - prob cheaper to rent from Allie at
Toucan Kayaks or anyone else who rents kayaks.

You sound like you are advanced kayakers, Feb is windy. Its sailboard, kite board etc season. Not to put you off we have some beutiful days with calm seas as well, just more choppy days during that time of year. You may not go out everyday. Contact Allie, she has been in kayak competions here for years, takes out kayak tours to other cayes etc. Shes Canadian but been here for a very long time. She can fill you in on whats best to do.
