Road surfacing begins on Nim Li Punit Street in Belmopan

Belmopan residents are already dreaming of a smoother ride on one of the most trafficked commercial streets in Belmopan. Works have been ongoing on the strip for almost three months now. Since October of last year, employees of A&N Construction Company had been busy laying out the survey markers for works to commence immediately on the Nim Li Punit Street. Yesterday a first layer of bitumen was laid down and we have been made to understand that works will be completed within the next two weeks. The scope of works includes the realignment of street side drains, street concrete curbs, resurfacing of the street with Hot Mix, street markings for vehicular and pedestrian lanes and permanent signage. This particular phase of the BMDC will cost approximately 2million two hundred thousand Belize Dollars.
