We are returning to the island the end of the month and wondering what condition is the road to Captain Morgans. Also, we don't usually rent a golf cart for our entire stay but may consider doing that this year. Who is the best rental place both condition and price. Thank and see you all soon with Beliken in hand.

Don't know how the road is now, but make sure whoever you rent from you are covered going to Capt Morgans. I always use Carts Belize. Great maintained, clean carts with real tires. Only 1 block from airport. I've never had a problem and they are excellent to work with.

I drove up to Rojo today wthout any problem, beyond that it looked a little sketchy.

We missed the express one night and carted north (thanks to a generous local) to Mata Chica a couple months ago. The road to Captain Morgan's wasn't bad and that was the rainy season. A little ways past that was a disaster though.

I got through yesterday from town to Mata Grande. It does help to know the road in advance so that you can pick the shallower sides of the big puddles. One other rider who made a poor choice ended up with a wet engine and a stalled cart.
I found the worst part to be behind Tres Banderas/Belizean Cove Estates, but there are plenty of other contenders for "worst" along the way.
