What needs to be done to the people that are loading up their golf carts, trailers and wheelbarrows with sand? They are removing the sand between the Cloisters and Kama lounge. Some times they cover it with sea-grass but not know they just load up and leave.

Might want to make note of who is taking it and ask the Mayor give them a little talking to.

I saw someone doing this yesterday when I rode my bike through that area -- did not really click what he what he was doing until I read this post, but I'm sure that's what it was. One guy, one golf cart, one shovel...

That was one of them...They are about to get all the sand behind the seawall and then it will be a mess again.

They could be seen on the Tacocam which is mounted in that area. I watched yesterday....because of the distance it was hard to tell what they were doing.....definitely shoveling something into a wheel barrow.

Some residents of San Mateo have been relocating sea grass and other vegatation that has accumulated behind the sea wall and/or been dumped there to use as fill for a few years. The actual taking of sand is a new one however.

Yes, I saw that too. Was wondering what they were doing. It has been going on since last week. I have seen 2 people on the Cam doing this. Where is that (Cam) location anyway? Can't figure it out.

I believe it's mounted at Reef Village just south of The Cloisters.
