So I have my first digital TV ever and have absolutely no digital savvy.

How the heck do I get Coral Cablevision, let's say, channel 14-2? I have keyed in the appropriate number combination and tried holding the 2 key down while on channel 14 but can't make it happen.

Be nice to the technological dinosaur please smile

Just go to channel 14 and hit the up channel button. It will go to 14-1 then 14-2 etc...

Mine won't cause it needs to search out all the channels in both regular cable and digital. The 14- channels are digital.
Try letting your TV go through the entire channel search...

I second that: sometimes you can't access the digital channels until after you run a scan for them. From your remote go to the TV's menu - it will be called "Menu" or "Options" and look for something called "Auto Program" or "Channel Scan". Once you find it the TV will take a few minutes to test all the channels and from then on you'll be able to go to the digital ones.

I did the channel search and let it go through its thang. No digital channels were found frown

Give Coral Cable a call. They had to put "amplifiers" on our line before we could get the digital channels.

Thanks to KenMel for calling me and pointing out that my remote control has a - on it smile

I have now succeeded in manually programming all of the digital channels. I would have a very entertaining TV life if only there was something worthy of viewing the 130+ channels that are available.

Springsteen had it right in '92 for sure smile

Pray tell what numbers are the digital channels. I don't know whether I have them or not.

Hon, what is the button you have on your remote? I need some kind of button on all of my devices that help a more mature person like myself figure out how to use almost all of them. I have a kindle can't use right now cuz can't figure out how to connect with the wireless. Doh.
