Skydiving - a wonderful spectacle that has been seen in Belize only briefly. I want to bring it to Belize full time.
To achieve my aim I am looking for Venture Capital Investor(s). The start-up is not cheap and am looking for investment of US$150K.
In return I will offer an investor a very good APR on their money and a percentage share in the business. I am happy to provide my business plan and projected financials to serious enquiries.
If anyone is interested PM me with a contact name and number and I will call you to discuss.

In answer to both questions no and no.
I looked at renting an aircraft of the type I would need, but the ferry costs, minimums and hourly rates would make it very difficult to price the jump and tandem tickets at a suitable rate. The best option is to buy the aircraft outright hence the large investment requirement.
I had never heard of Shark Tank until I googled it, maybe as a very, very, very last resort

I would suggest that you do a little more research on this plan, JMHO.

I seriously doubt this would be a money - maker in Belize. Perhaps look at past posts about the guy who did jumps (had an annual event in San Pedro)...he took his business elsewhere. But good luck. When you have a dream, be willing to look at all options, and see where it takes you.

I know RIch very well and he took his business elsewhere for more reasons than making money. I stand firm in my belief that a full time skydiving venture in Belize will make money, perhaps not millions, but it will be self sustaining and profitable.
Thanks for the good luck wish though it is appreciated.

Caye Chapel would be perfect.

ScubaLdy, I am aware of that but my plan doesn't just involve SP. I used to come over from the mainland for Rich's event and the landing area got smaller every year, it's a shame because the views of SP from 13000 ft are breathtaking.
There are a lot of other places to jump in Belize and just operating from one static location is not in the plan.
Sorry if it sounds kind of cryptic, but I don't want to give away too much detail on a public domain, I hope you can appreciate that.

Ref: The remark about there no longer being an area to land:
I beg to differ. Only about 2% of the island is actually developed! There are lots of places to land.
The Boogie in Belize group had a viable plan at the time. Plans can change and certainly venues can be changed.

Sky dive - Sorry - I guess you have done more research than I gave you credit for. Good luck.

I know there is a lot of the island that isn't developed, but there is a vast amount of mangrove and below sea level area and that is the reason it's not developed. I'd venture there may be a few areas to land, but not nearly what you'd expect. The more remote parts require more planning when considering pick up points, etc. I would also bet that those were contributing factors for Boogie in Belize changing their plans and venue.

I say again, Caye Chapel is perfect, air strip, 5 acres of flat land on north end of island, marina, lodging etc.

Caye Chapel is certainly an option I would explore but mainly on an ad hoc basis. What a great day that would be - a skydive, a game of golf, splash in the pool then a good meal and drinks as the sun goes down.
