Looking to purchase waterfront land on AC when down there in early February 2002. Have been keeping an eye on the real estate ads, but nothing seems to have changed much for the past few months. Is the market dead? Would this be a good time to buy? Would like to get a feel before I go. Have emailed real estate offices with this same question but don't seem to get a straight answer. Perhaps someone who is familiar with real estate activity could enlighten me? Has September 11 had a great impact also? Thanks!

Hmmmmm, you aren't talking about Gaz are you? It must be this Rocio fellow.

As I said, we shall see, what we shall see.

By the way, where's Bud? This is a perfect thread for him to bring up his place on the north side isn't it? Hey, Bud, you out there?

Hi Cold in Canada,
My husband and I bought a house on AC back in May. We are currently looking for additional properties. The real estate market isn't dead, but because most props are a bit overpriced, they tend to stay on the market for a while. I don't think that 9/11 has had much of an effect. Tricia at Southwind emails me with the new properties that become available. It usually takes a while for these to be on the internet site, so contact her by email and let her know what you are looking for. I will tell you that Paradise ain't cheap!
Good luck shopping, and hope we can be neighbors soon.
Vicki
PS: Where in Canada? I lived in Toronto, one of my best friends is in Flin Flon (can't get him to leave there!!)

I live near Thunder Bay Ontario. As my username suggests, it is cold in Canada right now. Looking forward to the warmth of AC! Thanks for all your replies!

Good luck, Bud. Sure hope it's nothing serious and that you will be up and around for the holidays.
