Kelly McGuire Band knows that "It's SO hip to SNIP". He is back for another live show at Fido's Restaurant & Bar, Tuesday, April 16th from 6 to 9pm. The benefit is for Saga Humane Society with all funds going to Operation SNIP. The goal is to spay/neuter the majority of island animals. This is best and most humane way to control the animal population in San Pedro. Please join us for music, wings, raffles, a live auction and just fun.

I am bummed that I will miss this. Don't arrive until Saturday the 20th!

Saga Humane Society would like to offer our most sincere gratitude to our local businesses and supporters who helped make our recent fundraiser April 16 a rousing success. Fido's Restaurant & Bar hosted Kelly McGuire for a benefit concert, with proceeds going toward Operation SNIP. Over $3,500 was raised to go toward the goal of sterilizing 75% of the dog and cat population of Ambergris Caye in the next 3-5 years. The night's event will be able to cover the cost of 75 island pets to be spayed or neutered.

It was a fun filled night with food and drink specials, good music, raffle drawings and Kelly showed his skill as the World's Best Auctioneer. While the guests were enjoying the concert, our dedicated Saga volunteers were working the crowd selling raffle tickets, showing off auction prizes and gathering donations.

We would like to thank these local businesses and individuals for their continued support and donations for this event. Brian Cook, (GM) Fido's Restaurant & Bar for graciously hosting this event. Steven Schulte (CEO) Tropic Air for round trip tickets from Cancun for Kelly McGuire to come to this event. Kelly McGuire for his great performance, enthusiasm and auctioneer skills.

Auction items were:, an Underwater Adventure for 2 from Sea Trek, and a Blue Hole trip for 2 from Amigo's del Mar, and 2 lovely Murano glass pendant necklaces. Kelly personally autographed a Saga t-shirt. Raffle items were Gift certificates from Crazy Canuk's, BC's, Belize Express for 2 round trip tickets to Belize City. Palapa Bar, Casa Picasso, a set of 4 Kelly McGuire cd's . Jim & Lori Prediger for helping to fill the donation can. Please show your support to these businesses that support their community.
