Elito Arceo, formerly Deputy Mayor and current owner of SeaDuced by Belize, was hurt Christmas Day when there was an explosion on his boat as he was preparing to load passengers at Caye Caulker. He was the only one hurt. He has first, second, and some third degree burns over 1/3 of himself, and his left arm is very swollen and causing concern. He is in great spirits and has the spirit of a horse, and will be raring to go when he heals, but for now he is in the ICU burn unit in Los Angeles, after spending the night Christmas night in the hospital in Belize City.

Send him your thoughts and your prayers.

Marty

After been hospitalized for 6 days with first degree, and second degree burns over 45% of his body to include his face, and upper body and arms. Elito was glad to be discharged today to his sister Vicki's care in California. Elito had a blast at the hospital, and should be coming home to Belize in about a week. He will be surely missed at the hospital were he made friends from housekeeping, nurses, to doctors, promoting his beloved Belize the entire time.

P.S. all medical staff are following him home and recommend psychiatric evalution for Elito.

Sounds just like Elito, who has never met a stranger in his life. So glad to hear he is doing well...and will be home soon, inspite of the need for psychiatric care!
