Yes, you would need a work permit. Some folks sell stuff and nothing ever happens, but competition with all the jewelry vendors make it more of a risk that someone may turn you in. You legally cant have someone else selling your stuff or try to sell it to a store to sell either. What you can do is send your jewelry down here via mail from Canada, proving it was made in Canada and you are not selling it to anyone here while you are here.. You can send it to a store here from Canada that will pay duty on it, they can deposit your sales into a local bank account. So strange..We did that for a few years prior to getting work permits. Lots of trouble but more trouble if you get busted for no permit. Its almost impossible to get a work permit as a jewelry maker/Artist..or waitress, bartender, hotel worker, any type of carpentry, the list is long.

Which makes sense in its way. Belizean artists and vendors struggle enough without having Canadians set up a table next to them. Sell your work in Canada and spend your earnings in Belize.
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Restrictions aside...the true likelihood is that one probably wouldnt get a work permit in time anyway...

Thank you all for your input and advisement. I can't product at good enough wholesale price to make it worth my while anyways, but still needed to know the right info anyways, maybe this info helps someone else as well.
